In Alba, the vocational school to become Chef and Pastry Chef, Barman and Maître

Alba Accademia Alberghiera's courses allow to complete the compulsory schooling to become a cook and pastry chef or waiter, bartender and barkeeper. The course lasts 3 years for the professional qualification plus a fourth year at the end of which the technical diploma is obtained. Then it is possible to enter the fifth year of the public school to obtain the baccalaureate diploma.

During the last years of school, internships and apprenticeships are activated in synergy with the companies and restaurateurs of the area. With these programs, the students are able to enter a working place, while the companies can get to know the future chefs, maître and barmen.

Thanks to the ERASMUS+ program the most deserving students have the opportunity to attend a period of internship abroad. Alba Accademia Alberghiera collaborates with European Restaurant and Catering schools and hotel institutes and participates in several international projects such as IMPACT.

The IMPACT project, financed by the Interreg ALCOTRA programme, has enabled the twinning between Alba Accademia Alberghiera and the Faculté Des Métiers École Hôtelière de Cannes, making them the protagonists of an enriching interweaving of teaching methods and culinary and cultural traditions of the French Riviera and our territory. As part of the project, the students of the two schools enjoy streaming lessons and participate in frequent exchanges, discovering new places, restaurants and schoolmates.They live an all-round professional and life experience.
